CREW Maryland Suburban Sponsored a NCCF Mother’s Day Gift Shop

Annually CREW Suburban Maryland sponsors a Mother’s Day Gift Shop for the children at the National Center for Children and Families (NCCF) in Bethesda, Maryland. The NCCF serves as an emergency home for homeless families, primarily children with single mothers.

CREW members collect items for Mother’s Day, including bath/shower products, purses, jewelry, cosmetics, nail polish, hair accessories, picture frames, slippers and lotions. The items are displayed and set up in the “Gift Shop” for over 30 children, ranging in age from toddlers to teenagers, to shop.

The Gift Shop also provides arts and crafts for the children to design a Mother’s Day card, and wrap the gift. Please see their website at nccf-cares.org for additional details about the facility and their numerous community programs. Download the 2008 flyer
