| February 2010 | CREW Maryland presents Mark Bisnow Thursday, February 11 | 7:30 am Breakfast Meeting Due to weather conditions the Mark Bisnow event scheduled for this Thursday morning, February 11th, has been postponed. Once we have more details we will provide them to you. We hope that all of you are safe and warm. Networking in the 21st Century Join Mark Bisnow – entrepreneur, businessman and publisher of the Bisnow Real Estate Newsletter- at a CREW Special Event. Please note that this special event with Mark Bisnow is on THURSDAY, February 11, at McCormick & Schmick’s. The program will begin at 8:00 am sharp. Mark will lead an interactive discussion with CREW members and real estate leaders about the changes in networking habits and preferences over the last several years. This program is for you, by you; we want you to be involved. All attendees are encouraged to bring questions for Mark and for other attendees about networking at events and online. | September 2010 | Montgomery County’s Newest Master Plans Germantown, White Flint and Great Seneca Science Corridor Wednesday, September 8 | 7:30 am Breakfast Meeting Please join a distinguished panel of speakers who will outline the recommendations and implementation strategies of the Germantown Sector Plan, White Flint Sector Plan and the Great Seneca Science Corridor Master Plan, all adopted in 2010. Each plan focuses on a different element of Montgomery County’s demographics and geography, yet each encourages “smart growth” by focusing on redevelopment and reuse of existing sites. The panelists will present an overview of each plan individually and how each fits into the greater changes coming to the County. Make sure you are up to date on the new land use policies in Montgomery County as they move forward into reality. The tour begins at The Johns Hopkins University Montgomery County Campus with an introduction to the Sector Plan from the key players involved, as well as a special discussion from Lynn J. Langer, President of Women in Bio, about the opportunities for the bio-tech industry in Montgomery County. The bus tour will circle the Great Seneca Science Corridor. Our speakers will identify existing bio-tech and technology users, as well as opportunities created by the Sector Plan for new development.
