Session 1: Leadership Styles

Building on the work of Daniel Goleman (best known for bringing emotional intelligence into the mainstream), this workshop will define recognized leadership styles and explore alignment between styles, personal preferences, and organizational needs. Through optional pre-work, registrants will join the session with an introduction to their own natural leadership style(s) and leave with techniques on how to leverage and diversify their leadership skillset.

Participants will be able to:
1. Define leadership styles
2. Understand adaptations for virtual/dispersed work environments
3. Be able to identify their own natural, adaptive, and least-likely leadership styles
4. Learn techniques to align leadership styles and workplace needs

Registrants will receive links to a pre-survey to refine the workshop content, an optional pre-assessment to identify their natural leadership style(s) per Goleman's definitions & the event zoom link via email following registration.
